They clearly are just focusing on mass development of synths to sell new versions of the V Collection regularly instead of polishing the products they already have. I think I'm just gonna stop using Arturia at this point. The only thing I tested that competes with that ridiculous memory usage, which also happens to be poorly optimized CPU wise is Vital, but it's a free synth so I wouldn't expect perfection (now we know why buying Serum is still the way to go). 10 instances of Arturia Pigments is giving me between 6-7GB of RAM usage with stupid synth loading times. What I can say though is that 10 instances of Serum give me between 1.8 and 2.5 GBs of RAM usage and 10 instances of Spire use just slightly more. Those numbers would make sense if he was checking the virtual memory but that would be odd because he was comparing it to my physical memory. Never understood where those 43GB of memory usage came from since the project was small but the Ableton technician used the status report from the session so it must be accurate.
